Our Purpose
By presenting a program of enrichment for everyday experiences, our aim is to guide your child's development, growth and maturity into avenues of education, physical and emotional stability. Each child is provided with a carefully planned, theme based educational curriculum developed with the guidance of our staff. Our teachers encourage creativity through free and imaginative play, arts and crafts, music, science, and gross and fine motor activities. What looks like play to the observer and feels like play to the child, is really a carefully planned program, developed to build self-confidence, expand understanding, teach responsibility and increase motor skills. Each staff member is educated, well trained, understanding and devoted to their work with young children.

Theme Based Curriculum
Playmates Paularino Pre-School provides a theme based educational curriculum. Teacher and children explore themes in many different ways. The themes are custom designed and interated with literacy, math, music, and art. Considering the total needs of the children, the teachers use the themes to invite new learning experiences. An age appropriate progress report is sent home twice a year.

Pre-Kindergarten Readiness
Our kindergarten readiness program reinforces letter sounds, basic math concepts and writing skills. We will encourage the development of creative thinking skills through stimulating experiences with language, as well as, imaginative play and art. All children entering kindergarten benefit greatly from this program.

Classrooms
Our classrooms provide a safe and healthy environment with adequate lighting and ventilation. Each room is divided into interest areas to address basic aspects of children's play and development. The location of each are of interest is carefully planned to provide for adequated space, easy access, and compatible activities in adjacent areas.

Classroom Materials
Classroom materials are diverse, manipulative, and systimatically arranged and accessible to children. Materials appeal to multiple senses, including both natural and manufactured materials, and reflect human diversity and the positive aspects of children's homes and community cultures.
Daily Routine
The children follow a daily schedule of activities. An appropriate amount of time is pre-arranged for each part of the daily routine. Teachers and children follow a consistent sequence of events. Therefore, the children are comfortable with the routine and can anticipate which activity comes next.

Outdoors
Our playgrounds have adequate space, equipment, and materials to support myriad types of play. The outdoor play areas include both stationary and portable equipment situated on large grassy, tree shaded areas. Among our "playground favorites" are cars and tricycles, summer water slide, swings, sandbox, climbers, monkey bars and more. Our expansive outdoor area encourages children to run, dig, build, and swing.
Extended Day Care
Our extended day care offers a variety of activities, such as, outdoor games, music, and creative movement activities and arts and crafts. In addition, the extended day care includes an early afternoon snack and an indoor classroom with a complete array of preschool activities.
